Cloud Break

Cloud Break, also known as Cloudbreak, is a renowned surf spot located about a mile off Tavarua Island in Fiji. This legendary wave is famed for its consistent, large swells, offering some of the most challenging and exhilarating surfing experiences in the world. Cloudbreak has become a bucket-list destination for serious surfers, drawing in those who are eager to test their skills against its powerful left-hand reef break.

The wave at Cloudbreak is known for its thick, hollow tubes that can hold a sizeable swell, offering rides up to 500 meters long when conditions are perfect. The reef at Cloudbreak is a coral one, which can make for a very sharp and challenging environment, especially at low tide. Surfers who take on Cloudbreak must be experienced and respect the power of the ocean here, as the waves can reach colossal sizes, sometimes upwards of 20 feet.

Beyond surfing, Cloudbreak is surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Fiji’s clear blue waters and abundant marine life. The reef’s biodiversity makes it a fantastic spot not only for surfers but also for snorkelers and divers looking to explore the underwater world.

As part of the Fijian tropical paradise, the island vibe is relaxed and friendly, with a sense of adventure and appreciation for the ocean at its heart. The climate is typically warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a day (or more) spent in and around the water.
